Pierre Jolicoeur, Ph.D.

Pierre Jolicoeur, Ph.D. has over 25 years of experience in the bioanalysis, vaccines, and gene therapy fields, primarily in the contract research organization (CRO) industry. Currently, they are the Chief Operating Officer at Immunologix Laboratories, where they lead the development and implementation of strategies to foster company growth.

Prior to their current role, Dr. Jolicoeur worked at PPD as the Executive Director of Laboratory Operations in the Vaccine Sciences Department. Pierre was responsible for promoting new market development, expanding the client base and technology platforms, and achieving double-digit growth. Pierre also held positions as the Senior Director and Director in the same department, overseeing operations, managing staff and resources, and implementing strategic plans.

Before joining PPD, Dr. Jolicoeur worked at MDS Pharma Services as the Section Head and Associate Director. Pierre coordinated Ligand Binding and Cellular Assay Services, leading a team of 55 employees. Pierre also developed expertise in cell-based assay testing for large therapeutic molecules.

Earlier in their career, Dr. Jolicoeur served as the Manager of R&D and Viral Vector Custom Services at Qbiogene. In this role, they supervised operations related to the generation, purification, and amplification of adenovirus vectors for therapeutic and gene therapy applications.

Dr. Jolicoeur began their career at the National Research Council Canada/Biotechnology Research Institute. As a Research Associate and Officer, they developed assays and instruments for the generation of recombinant adenovirus and the expression of various proteins using technologies such as cell engineering, molecular biology, flow cytometry, and ELISA.

Throughout their career, Dr. Jolicoeur has demonstrated leadership skills, expertise in laboratory operations, strategic planning abilities, and a strong track record of fostering growth and expansion in the biotechnology industry.

Pierre Jolicoeur, Ph.D. has a strong educational background in biology, specifically focusing on microbiology and immunology. Pierre pursued their studies at various universities in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Pierre studied at the Université de Montréal, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree in Biology, specializing in immunology and microbiology, at UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal. Pierre's educational journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Experimental Biology at UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal. Throughout their education, Pierre Jolicoeur focused on enhancing their knowledge and expertise in the field of biology, with a particular emphasis on microbiology and immunology.
