Maarten Buysse

Maarten Buysse is an experienced professional in climate impact forecasting and innovation consultancy. Currently, as a Climate Impact Forecast Trainer at Impact Forecast since September 2020, Maarten supports startups through workshops, coaching, and validation within accelerator and incubator programs, including ClimAccelerator and Amazon Launchpad. Since January 2018, Maarten has served as an Innovation Consultant focused on batteries at Bax & Company, aiding corporate leaders and policymakers in developing science and technology-driven initiatives. Maarten participated in the EIT Climate-KIC Journey in August 2019, a prominent climate innovation summer school emphasizing system transformation for climate action. Previous roles include supervising a product innovation project at Dana Incorporated and internships at Monsanto Company and Infineon Technologies. Maarten holds two Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from KU Leuven and Technische Universität Graz, along with a Bachelor of Science from KU Leuven.
