Maria Garcia Garrido

Maria Garcia Garrido is a research associate at Imperial College London. Maria previously worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Exeter and as a research technician at Universidad de Málaga. Her research is focused on the study of the medial entorhinal cortex (MEC) and how it is affected in a mouse model of dementia, the J20 mice, using in vivo electrophysiology.

Dr. Maria Garcia Garrido is a neuroscientist who received their PhD from the University of Exeter. Maria also holds a master's degree in biomedicine from Universitat de Barcelona and a bachelor's degree in biology from Universidad de Granada. In addition, they are certified by the UK Home Office to carry out procedures on animals under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 (ASPA), including categories A, B, and C.
