Pete Austin

Pete Austin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Pete worked as an Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing at Imperial War Museums from November 2017 to the present. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Strategic Advisor at ANON AGENCY since May 2021. Prior to that, Pete was the Head of External Relations at University of the Arts London from January 2015 to November 2017. Pete also served as the Deputy Head of Communications, Press & PR Manager, and Press & PR Officer at Goldsmiths, University of London from October 2008 to January 2015. During a brief secondment at the Department for Education in February and March 2013, they worked as a Press Officer. Before that, Pete gained experience in journalism and reporting as the Deputy Editor of Evesham Observer and News Reporter at Worcester Standard at Observer Standard Newspapers Ltd from January 2008 to October 2008 and September 2006 to December 2007, respectively. Pete began their career at Press Association Sport as a Live Statistics Reporter from October 2006 to May 2008.

Pete Austin attended Solent University from 2003 to 2006, where they earned their BA (Hons) degree in Journalism. In 2006, they further pursued their education at Wolverhampton City College, completing the NCTJ Preliminary Qualifications in NCTJ. Pete Austin also obtained a Foundation certification from PRINCE2 in 2012.
