Senior Director Of Security Architecture And Tools, Office Of The CTO At Imperva at Imperva

Elena Kravchenko has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and software development. Elena has held various roles in multiple companies throughout their career.

Starting in 1990, Elena worked as a Software Engineer at Azovmash for eight years. Elena then joined Mercury Interactive in 2000 as a Software Engineer, where they focused on developing packages for QuickTest Professional and took on the role of technical lead for new technologies and mentoring new employees.

In 2005, Elena became a Senior Software Engineer at Mercury Interactive, where they led the technical aspects of data collectors and monitoring tools for the Mercury Business Availability Center. Elena also provided support and training to various teams within the organization.

In 2007, Elena transitioned to HPE Software, where they held the positions of Software System Architect and Expert System Architect. In these roles, they provided security governance and secure development support to product teams in the ADM portfolio. Elena also played a significant role in achieving ISO 27034, 27001, and SOC2 certifications for the business unit, and they focused on designing secure systems and conducting threat modeling for various deployment types.

When HPE Software merged with Micro Focus, Elena continued their work as the Application Security Lead and Distinguished Technologist. Their responsibilities included overseeing the security aspects of the Application Delivery Management Product Group, providing security governance to product teams, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards and SOC2 certification. Elena also played a key role in secure design and threat modeling for different deployment types.

In 2020, Elena joined Imperva as the Principal Security Architect, where they focused on security architecture and automation. Elena led a team of security architects and automation engineers responsible for the technological governance of the company's Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL). Elena and their team provided support in compliance efforts and developed frameworks for risk-based change management, security architecture design review, and DevOps pipeline optimization.

In 2023, Elena's role at Imperva evolved to become the Senior Director of Security Architecture and Tools, Office of the CTO. Elena continued to lead security architecture initiatives and provided technical support in compliance efforts and ISO 27001 and PCI DSS assessments.

Throughout their career, Elena has demonstrated expertise in secure design, threat modeling, incident response, and the implementation of secure development practices across various deployment types in both on-premise and cloud environments.

Elena Kravchenko obtained a Master's degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Saint Petersburg State University between 1985 and 1990. In addition, they have obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in January 2019 and the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from EXIN your ICT competence partner in 2014.
