Benjamin Thomas

Benjamin Thomas is a Data Scientist at IMU Biosciences since March 2023, focusing on mapping and decoding the human immune system through advanced data analysis techniques. Previously, Benjamin served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin from October 2019 to September 2022, where responsibilities included applying supervised machine learning to evaluate data quality. As a Postgraduate Researcher at the Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation from October 2015 to July 2019, Benjamin utilized Python and supercomputing resources to analyze and develop algorithms for complex datasets from the Dark Energy Survey, particularly relating to superluminous supernovae. Benjamin holds a PhD in Astrophysics from the Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation, University of Portsmouth, and an MPhys in Physics with Astrophysics from the University of Sussex.
