Rachel Imel

Rachel Imel is a skilled Research Associate in Plant Breeding at Inari since September 2022, following a robust academic and professional background in agronomy. Prior experiences include serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University from May 2019 to September 2022, where Rachel managed plant experiments, conducted measurements, designed and implemented experiments, and oversaw undergraduate assistants. Additional roles at Purdue involved teaching Soil Science and Genetics, where Rachel engaged large classes, evaluated student work, and developed educational materials. Earlier experience as a Field Scout at CoAlliance contributed to expertise in field data collection and providing crop health assessments. Rachel earned a Master's degree in Agronomy and Crop Science from Purdue University in 2022, complementing a Bachelor’s degree from the same institution in 2020.
