Tony Iwane

Tony Iwane is an experienced Outreach and Community Coordinator at iNaturalist.org, where responsibilities include managing social media, providing technical support, moderating the community forum, and creating video content. Prior to this role, Tony served as a Naturalist at the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center, focusing on wetland education and leading field trips for students of various ages. Additional experience includes teaching science and nature at Tree Frog Treks, assisting with administrative tasks at EarthTeam, working as a video editor for corporate clients, and co-directing and editing a feature-length film. Tony holds a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Williams College.
