Michael Jennings has extensive work experience in the field of health, safety, and environment. Michael is currently serving as the Vice President - HSE & Risk at Dyno Nobel APAC and Incitec Pivot Fertlisers. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Manager - Global HSEC Systems & Improvement. Michael also worked as the Green Ammonia Project - Regulatory and Permitting Lead, as well as the Health, Safety, Environment, and Community Manager, both at Incitec Pivot Limited.

Before joining Incitec Pivot Limited, Michael worked as a Member of the APPEA Health, Safety, and Operations Committee at the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association from 2017 to 2021.

Earlier in their career, they worked at Caltex Australia in various roles including Health, Safety, Environment and Risk Manager, Refining Operational Excellence (HSE) Management Systems Specialist, Production Superintendent / Operations Area Manager, Laboratory Manager / Chief Chemist, Refinery Scheduler (crude oil & finished products), and Research and Development.

Michael also gained research and development experience at Alphapharm from 1993 to 1995.

Michael Jennings has a diverse education history. Michael obtained a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Management between 2021 and 2024. Prior to that, they completed a Graduate Certificate in Management from the same institute, with a duration of study from an unknown start year to 2023.

In 2014 to 2016, Michael pursued a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from QUT (Queensland University of Technology). Before that, they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science - Applied Chemistry from the same university between 1990 and 1992.

Michael also attended several professional development programs, including the Advanced Leadership Development Program at Corporate Edge in 2019 to 2020.
