Fran McSweeney has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Currently, they are the Head of National Services at Independent Age since March 2021. Lastly, Fran started their career at Citizens Advice in 1988, initially serving as a Money Adviser and later assuming the role of Bureau Manager.

Fran McSweeney obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Policy and Race Relations in 1987 from Edge Hill University. In 1998, Fran completed a program at Common Purpose, although no specific degree or field of study information is available. Later, in 2005, Fran completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Organisational Leadership from The Open University.
