Kent Goodin

Vice President Hardware Engineering at indie

Kent Goodin has a strong background in engineering and leadership roles in the semiconductor industry. Kent started their career at Harris Corp./Computer Systems Division as a System Design Engineer. Kent then worked at Weitek Corp. as a Sr. Systems Design Engineer, Graphics Engineering Manager, and Director of Engineering. Goodin joined Mediamatics Inc. as the Director of Engineering and played a key role in the development of digital video System on Chip products. The company was later acquired by National Semiconductor, where they became Vice President of Engineering and then General Manager of the IC products in the DVD market. Goodin then moved on to Parama Networks as the Vice President of VLSI Engineering, developing switch fabric and backplane interconnect ASICs. Kent later joined Silicon Optix Inc. as the EVP of Engineering and Technology, leading engineering efforts across three video processing product lines. Goodin then worked at Zenverge Inc. as the Executive Vice President of Engineering, overseeing IC, software, and system engineering for transcoding products. After that, they joined GEO Semiconductor, Inc. as Vice President of Hardware Engineering, responsible for IC and system level development of automotive camera processors and consumer products. Most recently, Goodin is Vice President of Hardware Engineering at indie Semiconductor.

Kent Goodin attended the University of Louisville from 1978 to 1982, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Following this, from 1982 to 1983, they pursued a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering at the same university.
