Pete Train, PhD, SPHR has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Pete began their career at Amoco in 1987 and held various technology and manufacturing operations roles there until 1999. During their time at Amoco, they also served as the SRU Asset Superintendent. In 1999, they joined BP, where they also held various technology and manufacturing operations roles until 2004. Since 2004, Pete has been with INEOS, where they have held several positions including Olefins Operations Manager, Olefins & Polymers Technology Director, and Benefits Director, North America. Currently, they are the Director of Human Resources at INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA, responsible for the human resources function as well as benefits and payroll for all of the US.
Pete Train has a strong educational background in Chemical Engineering. Pete obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1982. Pete further pursued their education at the University of Delaware, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemical Engineering in 1987. In 2016, Pete Train obtained the SPHR certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).
