Technical Animation Director at Inflexion Games

Dustin Nelson's work experience includes being a Technical Animation Director at Inflexion Games since March 2022. Dustin is also the creator of Rapid Rig, a free auto-rigger for simple bipedal rigs, since December 2007. Dustin worked as an Instructor at BCIT, teaching character rigging, starting in November 2014. Prior to that, they were a Senior Technical Animator at Phoenix Labs from June 2021 to March 2022. Dustin also worked as a Character Rigger/Technical Animator at Electronic Arts (EA) from May 2012 to June 2021. Additionally, they have experience as an Instructor at Vancouver Film School from January 2017 to March 2018, and as an Instructor at The Art Institutes, where they taught lighting, rendering, and rigging from September 2013 to December 2016. Before that, they worked as an artist at Bioware from November 2007 to May 2012, and as a Contract Artist at Plastic Thought Studios from January 2004 to September 2010. Dustin started their career as an Instructor/Artist at Pixel Blue College, where they worked until 2007.

Dustin Nelson attended MacEwan University from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained a degree in Visual Communications with a focus on Design and Illustration. In 2003, they briefly attended Pixel Blue College, specializing in 3D Animation and Digital Compositing. During their time at Pixel Blue College, they studied various aspects of 3D animation including modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, rendering, and lighting.
