Suzanne K. Vosburg, PhD

Suzanne K. Vosburg, PhD has extensive experience in research, writing, and teaching. Suzanne K. is currently an Associate Research Director at Inflexxion powered by Uprise Health. Prior to this, they worked as a Scientific/Medical Writer, Researcher, and Scientific Consultant for multiple companies from 2016 to 2021. From 2002 to 2012, they were an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurobiology in the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University, where they educated Psychiatry Research Fellows, contributed to a Research Design and Analysis Course, and advised fellows on pilot project proposal design, manuscript completion, and research project completion. From 2012 to 2016, they were a Research Associate at the Center for Abuse Prevention & Evaluation at Grunenthal USA, where they managed research and writing projects with a focus on preventing prescription opioid abuse, reducing prescription opioid abuse liability, and examining prescription stimulant abuse. From 1998 to 2012, they worked at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, where they held various roles including Research Scientist, Associate Lab Director, and Program Manager. Suzanne K. managed projects, staff, patients, and resources in behavioral research labs investigating the subjective and behavioral effects of cocaine, marijuana, and opioids. From 1996 to 1998, they were a Research Assistant at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, where they analyzed data, scored neuropsychological tasks, and prepared elements of grant proposals. From 1993 to 1995, they were an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Bergen, where they taught courses in mood and creativity while learning scientific literature and collecting data for their PhD thesis. Suzanne K. also worked as an Assistant Curator at the Milken Museum of Creativity Project in 1995 and held various positions at the Center for Studies in Creativity at Buffalo State College from 1990 to 1993.

Suzanne K. Vosburg, PhD completed their education history with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Psychology from the University of Bergen (UiB) in 1998. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Creative Studies from the University at Buffalo in 1992 and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Music from the University of Michigan in 1988.
