Jason Myers has worked in a variety of roles across multiple industries since 2001. Jason began their career as a Lacrosse Coach, then transitioned to a Transfer Credit Evaluator at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2011. Jason then worked as a Researcher (Contract) at the University of Colorado Denver in 2010, followed by a Technical Writer (Freelance) at Idaptic in the same year. In 2013, they became a Content Strategist/Analyst/Writer, Copy Editor for The Content Doctor (Self Employed). From 2015 to 2021, they held multiple roles at Plum Voice including Sr. Technical Writer, Analyst Relations Specialist, and Content Strategist & Copywriter. In 2021, they began working as a Content Marketing Manager and Technical Marketing Writer at InfluxData, and also as a Technical Writer at Envestnet, Inc. In 2014, they created and maintained a daily music review blog, Dead For A Year.

Jason Myers has a diverse educational background. Jason obtained a BA in History and English from Oakland University in 2004. Jason then attended Loyola University Chicago, where they earned a PhD in History in 2010. In 2013 and 2014, they completed two certificates from the University of Denver, one in Business and one in Geographic Information Science and Cartography. In 2004, they also attended Université de Montréal for French language studies. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including InfluxDB University Instructor from InfluxData in June 2022, Intermediate Flux from InfluxData in April 2022, Beginner Flux from InfluxData in February 2022, InfluxDB Essentials from InfluxData in February 2022, and Inbound Certification from HubSpot in April 2015.
