What you’ll do

Reporting to the Construction Managers, Australia, your responsibilities include:

Field/ Mobilized/ Project Operations

  • Be accountable for the leadership, supervision and compliance of an RPAS Construction Stringing Team(s) to complete works as directed by the Project Manager and Construction Manager, including:

    • WHS compliance
    • Risk and safety management
    • Works deliverables
    • Mentoring and guidance of team members
  • Conduct reconnaissance, planning, workshops and associated activities to prepare for allocated projects or tasks

  • Plan, coordinate and oversee the execution of flying activities in accordance with CASA regulations, Infravision policies, manuals and procedures.

  • Interact with clients onsite and represent Infravision

  • Communicate effectively internally and externally of the team to ensure clients and key Infravision personnel are informed of developments

  • Ensure lessons learnt are communicated to the Infravision management team to ensure the continuous improvement of Infravision products and processes

Office Based Operations

  • Develop, review, amend and audit Infravision operational documentation

  • Conduct training, proficiency and currency activities to develop or maintain required competencies

  • Conduct planning and preparation for upcoming projects

  • Represent Infravision at client, industry or delegated engagements

Research and Development

  • Conduct home or field based operations in support of key developments of Infravision products and processes

  • Provide SME advice to the R&D team

  • Continuously improve Infravision systems and processes

  • Assist the Chief Aviation Officer to research, investigate and develop aviation centric products or processes

  • Assist the Chief Technical Officer to research, investigate and develop engineer centric products or processes

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications, Experience and Values

  • Demonstrated minimum of 5 years’ construction Site Supervisor and/or team leader experience

  • WHS Construction White Card

  • Current Driver's License

  • Dogging HRW License

  • Rigging Basic, Intermediate or Advanced HRW License

  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and explain construction methods and plans.

  • Competent application of computer software such as MS Office, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Project and equivalent G-Suite

  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in a diverse team environment.

  • Willingness to assist in implementing innovative solutions and organizational change.

Highly Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of appropriate AQF qualification at Certificate 3 level or higher (ESI - Transmission, Project Management, WHS etc.)

  • Knowledge in the application of WHS and environmental legislation relative to transmission industry construction activities.

  • Current First Aid Certification (including CPR)

  • Heavy Vehicle (HR) License

  • Demonstrated experience working with Remote Piloted Aircraft Systems or similar field robotics systems.

  • Able and enthusiastic to operate in construction environments in a range of conditions to deliver field services
  • Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
  • Ability and willingness to work FIFO as required for project related works
  • Willing and able to complete an Australian Police background check and pass regular illicit substance testing
  • A commitment to demonstrating and operating to the highest level of safety and quality
  • Professional spoken and written interpersonal communication skills
  • A determination to work with and contribute to diverse teams
