Alain Martelli

Alain Martelli is an experienced research director in drug discovery, with 15 years of practice and expertise in the biology of rare neuromuscular diseases. Alain has held several senior scientific roles at Pfizer’s Rare Disease Research Unit in Cambridge, Mass, most recently as Research Director where he led and managed collaborative and multi-disciplinary teams developing novel clinical candidates targeting rare neurological and neuromuscular diseases. Alain previously served as Research Associate for IGBMC in France, where he led and managed research projects on Friedreich ataxia. He holds a Ph.D. in bio-organic chemistry and a Masters's degree in molecular chemistry from the University of Grenoble, France.
