George Tunaya has a diverse work experience in the IT field. George started their career in 1999 as a Helpdesk Support at NAWCTSD, Orlando and provided tier 1 support and deployed hardware and software packages. In 2001, their role changed when the position was contracted out.

After that, in 2006, they worked as an IT Administrator at GMB Engineers and Planners, INC where they were the sole administrator for a Microsoft-based shop and resolved networking, email, and domain issues. George also set up a remote office and facilitated connectivity using Sonicwall appliance and VPN. Unfortunately, their job was outsourced and they had to resign.

In 2008, George joined Virginia Hospital Center as an Imaging Informatics System Engineer. George initially started as a senior support specialist providing tier 1 and tier 2 support. George assisted in the implementation of the Siemens Soarian system and tracked issues through Track-It software. George obtained their MCITP certification and was promoted to the Radiology Engineering department. George also worked on vSphere 5.

During their time at Virginia Hospital Center, George gained experience working in various roles at other companies. In 2018, they worked as a System Engineer at NSI, a Senior System Engineer at NCI INC, and a Network Operations Manager and LAN/AD Lead at Innovative Management Concepts, Inc.
