The Role

Step into a key role as an Accounting Manager, where you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, overseeing quarterly reporting for our high-profile U.S. parent company on the NYSE. You'll lead the charge in managing consolidations, supporting comprehensive review and audit processes, and ensuring top-notch SOX controls. Your expertise in U.S. GAAP and external reporting within a listed company environment will be highly valued as you navigate the complexities of our financial landscape.

The Impact you will make:

Financial Reporting

  • Preparation and review of group consolidations (multi-currency) at various levels for reporting purposes

  • Planning and communicating the various reporting cycles ensuring reporting and filing targets are set and met in a timely manner

  • Management of the review/audit process for the company with group auditors, including coordination with the audit team, managing deliverables, and responding to queries

Board Reporting

  • Management of the group's financial reporting requirements to U.S. group on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

Month-end

 Consolidation for monthly management accounts purposes

  • Assist the rest of the finance team with review and analysis at month-end

 Taxation

  • Assist group Tax Manager with year-end tax reporting requirements, transfer pricing and other ad-hoc tasks

Process Improvement

  • Maintain and document all financial reporting policies, procedures and controls

  • Continually develop processes to enable consistent, timely group reporting

  • Identify and implement process improvements within the group reporting function

SOX Improvement

  • Assist with the SOX requirements for the company, working with the group and auditors as necessary

What You'll Bring to Us:

  •       Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, and a working technical knowledge of both U.S. GAAP

  •       Practical experience of group consolidations, including multi-currency considerations

  •       Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with at least 5 years’ PQE

  •       Experience with U.S. listed company is preferred

  •       SOX experience is preferred

  •       Big 4 experience is preferred

  •       Experience in managing the requirements of a year-end audit process

  •       Ability to meet demanding deadlines, often with competing priorities, and adaptability to business needs

  •       Interest in process improvement and implementation of change

  •       Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  •       Knowledge of Netsuite (beneficial but not essential)

  •       A strong sense and awareness of control and attention to detail, balanced with an ability to see the bigger picture

  •       Must be extremely diligent, reliable and self-motivated in nature

  •       Excellent time management, planning and co-ordination skills are essential

  •       Possess strong analytical skills

  •       Excellent communication skills
