Juhan Kim

Juhan Kim has a diverse work experience in molecular biology and bioengineering. Juhan is currently working at Inscripta, Inc. as the Director of Molecular Biology. In this role, they lead a bioengineering team that focuses on combining Directed Evolution, CRISPR, and Machine Learning to develop industrially optimized strains for biomanufacturing.

Prior to their current role, Juhan worked as a Staff Scientist at Inscripta from July 2021 to November 2022. Juhan also held positions as Senior Scientist I and II from December 2018 to July 2021, and Scientist II/Senior Scientist I from November 2017 to December 2018.

Before joining Inscripta, Juhan was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Colorado Boulder from July 2005 to November 2017, where they were involved in research projects. Juhan also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Seoul National University from October 2004 to June 2005.

Juhan's earlier experience includes working at BeadTech, Inc. as a Senior Researcher/Project Manager from April 2000 to June 2004.

Juhan Kim earned a Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from Seoul National University, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. Prior to that, they received a Master's degree in Biochemical Engineering from the same university, completing their studies between 1993 and 1995. Juhan's undergraduate education was also at Seoul National University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Technology from 1989 to 1993.

In terms of additional certifications, Juhan Kim obtained several. In January 2022, they completed courses on "Learning Gantt Charts" and "Project Management Simplified" from LinkedIn, and also completed a course on "Unconscious Bias" from the same platform. In March 2013, they acquired a certification in "Astrobiology and the Search for Extraterrestrial Life" from Coursera.
