Annika Broadbent

Annika Broadbent has extensive work experience in the field of risk management and compliance. Annika is currently serving as the Head of Risk and Compliance - IT and Support Functions at Insignia Financial since August 2021. Prior to this, Annika worked at Westpac for four years, holding the role of Executive Manager, Technology Risk Advice from July 2017 to August 2021. Annika also briefly worked as Technology Risk Advice - WIB, Payments and Digital at Westpac from April 2017 to July 2017.

Before joining Westpac, Annika was associated with Macquarie Group for a significant period. Annika served as the Senior Manager, IT Risk Management at Macquarie Securities Group from April 2012 to March 2017. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Manager, IT, Internal Audit Division at Macquarie Group from July 2008 to April 2012.

Annika's earlier experiences include working as a Manager at Ernst & Young from October 2005 to May 2008, and as a Manager, Internal Audit at Commonwealth Bank of Australia from May 2004 to September 2005. Annika also worked as an Assistant Manager - Information Risk Management at KPMG from December 1999 to May 2004.

Annika Broadbent completed an Intensive Management Programme at the Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne in 2011. Annika also obtained a certification in Risk and Information Systems Control from ISACA in the same year. Additionally, Annika earned a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree from the University of Sydney, where they studied accounting, economics, and information technology. Annika is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor, certified in 2003 by ISACA, and holds a Chartered Accountant certification, obtained in 2003 from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
