Cynthia Hao

Cynthia Hao is a Scientist II at insitro since March 2021, advancing through roles from Associate Scientist to Scientist I. Prior experience includes a research assistant role at the Roger Kornberg Lab, where work involved developing a pooled CRISPR screening method, and a teaching assistant position at Stanford University, facilitating a Computational Biology course. Additional research assistant positions included identifying biosynthesis genes in rhizobial bacteria at the Sharon Long Lab and characterizing E. coli RNA polymerase at the Drew Endy Lab. Cynthia also co-led the Biology Team for the Stanford Student Space Initiative, focusing on building an autonomous DNA synthesizer. Intern experience at Genia involved conducting sequencing experiments and coding for data visualization. Cynthia holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering, both from Stanford University.
