Erika Wambolt

Erika Wambolt has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Erika is currently the Director MS&T Commercial at Insmed Incorporated, a position they began in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Quotient Sciences as the Executive Director LSCOM Technical Operations and Project Management, where they led the Technical Operations and Project Management organization for the Late Stage and Commercial Operations business unit. Erika also served as the Senior/Executive Director of Project Management, overseeing the completion of multiple projects for over 50 customers.

Before joining Quotient Sciences, Erika held various roles at Johnson & Johnson, including Senior Director of US OTC Technical Operations, Sr. Director of Technical Operations Solids Platform, and Director of Technical Operations, External Manufacturing. At Johnson & Johnson, they provided leadership and direction for different technical areas, such as solid dose manufacturing technology and external manufacturing.

Earlier in their career, Erika worked at Actavis plc as the Executive Director of Global Pharmaceutical Technology, where they played a crucial role in technology transfer and development. Erika also held positions at Shire Pharmaceuticals, where they served as Sr. Director of Supply Chain Product Strategy, Senior Director of Process Technology, and Director of Pharmaceutical Technology. In these roles, they were responsible for assessing in-license and merger/acquisition opportunities, as well as providing technical support and directing various pharmaceutical technology groups.

Prior to their time at Shire Pharmaceuticals, Erika was employed at Schering-Plough as the Manager of Worldwide Technical Services, overseeing drug product technology transfer between manufacturing sites globally. Erika began their career at Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Scientist and later served as a Manager of Clinical Manufacturing.

Overall, Erika Wambolt has gained extensive experience in areas such as project management, technical operations, supply chain, and pharmaceutical technology throughout their career in various leadership positions.

Erika Wambolt obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Connecticut from 1982 to 1987. Subsequently, they pursued a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of Cincinnati, completing their studies from 1989 to 1994.
