Luis Gustavo Vieira Martins is a highly experienced professional in urban development and public policy, currently serving as the Coordinator for Research on Monitoring Federal Policies and Expenditure in Urban Development at the Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada (Ipea) since September 2019. In addition to their role at Ipea, Luis is a member of several editorial boards and councils, including the Boletim Regional, Urbano e Ambiental and the Revista Planejamento e Políticas Públicas. With a background in planning and budget analysis, Luis has held significant positions in various government agencies, including the Presidency of the Republic and the Secretaria de Assistência Social e Direitos Humanos. Luis Gustavo has a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from IPPUR/UFRJ and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Universidade Federal Fluminense.
