Shivangi Gupta

Shivangi Gupta is a Scientist at the Institute for Energy Technology since December 2022, with a rich background in corrosion mitigation within the Oil and Gas industry. Prior to this role, Shivangi served as a PhD Candidate at DTU - Technical University of Denmark from September 2016 to April 2022, focusing on corrosion issues related to offshore platforms and exploring innovative detection methods such as fiber optic strain sensors. During the tenure at DTU, Shivangi also contributed as a Scientific Assistant and Research Assistant, enhancing knowledge on Under Deposit Corrosion mechanisms and developing experimental designs for electrochemical measurement. Earlier experience includes a Master Thesis Project at Hempel A/S, where Shivangi improved the durability of silicone coatings for biofouling protection, and a Teaching Assistant position at DTU, supporting Master's students in understanding business model implementation. Educational qualifications consist of a Master’s Degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from DTU and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from ITM University, Gwalior, India.
