Carmit Valensi, PhD, is a Research Fellow at INSS Israel since January 2013, with previous experience as a Research Analyst at Tel Aviv University from April 2011 to April 2020 and at the Dado Center of the Israel Defense Forces from January 2008 to August 2010. Valensi's research focuses on asymmetric warfare and military conceptual development, with key contributions including an analysis of Hamas's decision-making processes and the organization of an international seminar on Hizbullah's strategic thinking. Valensi holds a PhD in Political Science from Tel Aviv University, completed in 2015, and participated in the Fox Fellowship at Yale University between 2010 and 2011, specializing in International and Area Studies.
