Tina McCorkindale, Ph.D., APR has a diverse work experience that spans over multiple industries and roles. Tina is currently serving as the President and CEO of the Institute for Public Relations since May 2015. Tina McCorkindale, Ph.D., APR, completed their education at various institutions. Tina earned a Ph.D. in Communication, Public Relations from the University of Miami from 2001 to 2006. Prior to that, they obtained an M.A. in Corporate and Public Communication from the University of South Alabama in 1999 and 2000. Their undergraduate studies were completed at The University of Southern Mississippi, where they earned a B.A. in Journalism with a Marketing minor from 1996 to 1998. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Universal Accreditation Board. Tina has also received certifications in Enrollment Management and Nonprofit Operational Management, both from the University of Miami. In terms of recent certifications, Tina is slated to complete the Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders at Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2023, as well as the Leveraging Insights from the Kellogg Sales Institute: A New Fundraising Approach for Nonprofit Leaders from Kellogg Executive Education in 2022.
