Shane Rooyakkers

Shane Rooyakkers is a distinguished Geochemist currently employed at GNS Science since 2021 and has previously held the position of Rutherford Postdoctoral Fellow at McGill University from September 2015 to April 2020. Shane earned a Ph.D. in Volcanology from McGill University between 2015 and 2020, following an MSc in Volcanology from Victoria University of Wellington, which was completed between 2013 and 2015. Shane's academic foundation includes a BSc with a double major in Geology and Geophysics from Victoria University of Wellington, obtained from 2010 to 2012.
