Warwick Kissling

Geothermal Modeller at GNS Science

Dr Warwick Kissling has been in involved in the geothermal industry for more than 20 years. He holds a PhD in Engineering Science from the University of Auckland, and as part of his thesis developed the first ever regional-scale hydrological model of the Taupo Volcanic Zone. He has extensive experience using the geothermal simulation code TOUGH2, and has developed two special-purpose versions of this for supercritical fluids and for high temperature, hyper-saline brines. He is an active member of the New Zealand geothermal community and regularly presents research results at local and international conferences and has recently been on the Board of the New Zealand Geothermal Association.
