Shamil Solanki

Shamil Solanki has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Shamil started their career as an intern at Citi in 2011 and later joined Close Brothers Asset Management as part of their Future Leaders Programme. In this role, they worked on philanthropy projects and developed business models for new products. Shamil then interned at MGR Weston Kay LLP before joining Harrods Bank Limited in an operations role. Currently, they are working at Institutional Cash Distributors (ICD) where they have held multiple positions, including Graduate Associate, Associate, Senior Associate, Director of EMEA Trading, and currently serves as the VP of EMEA Operations & Strategy. ICD is a leading institutional investment and risk management company with a focus on providing software solutions and exposure analytics for corporate treasury.

Shamil Solanki obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of Leicester, where they studied from 2012 to 2015. Prior to attending university, they completed their secondary education at Mill Hill County High School. In addition to their academic qualifications, Shamil also holds certifications such as the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) Unit 1 from CFA UK, which they obtained in May 2017, and the UK Financial Regulation (Capital Markets Programme) from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), which they obtained in May 2016.
