Amy Couwenhoven has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Project YES! Chicago Corps Member at AmeriCorps, where they coordinated large-scale community volunteer events and completed over 2500 service hours. Amy then worked at the Noble Network of Charter Schools as the Head of Department, Learning Specialist, and Case Manager, where they managed a caseload of over 200 students with diverse learning needs and expanded the Special Education Department. Amy then joined Elevate K-12 as a U.S. Operations Project Manager, where they designed and implemented complex, large-scale projects and facilitated collaborative meetings with senior leadership. Currently, Amy is the Director of Partnership Operations at Instruction Partners.
Amy Couwenhoven graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education. Amy'sfield of study included History, Political Science, and Sociology. In 2015, they completed a Master's Degree in Special Education and Teaching at the University of Illinois Chicago. Amy also obtained additional certifications, including an LBS1 Endorsement from the Illinois State Board of Education in 2015 and a Professional Educator's License in 2010.
