Steve Arze

Executive Vice President at Integrative Emergency Services

Dr. Steven Arze oversees clinical operations for IES. A fellow of the American Board of Emergency Medicine, Arze has held numerous positions within the healthcare community including medical director roles with several fire and EMS agencies and the ED at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Garland. He served Baylor Scott & White Health as the chief medical officer at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Garland and as the emergency services director of quality and clinical integration. Arze began his journey into medicine as an emergency medical technician in the ED at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas. He attended medical school at Texas Tech University Health Science Center, graduating with research honors as an American Heart Association research fellow. He completed his specialty training in emergency medicine at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte in 2003. Arze has served as the medical director of HOPE Clinic in Garland, traveled on medical mission trips to Africa and Mexico, and served on the board of Emergency Ministries, an EMS chaplaincy program that supports first responders. He is a member of the Texas A&M Medical School faculty, where he leads a course on finding purpose and meaning in medicine.
