Camelia Sidahmet has a range of work experience in scientific roles. Camelia is currently employed as a Scientific Associate at Intelligencia since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Junior Scientific Associate at the same company from August 2022 to April 2023.
In 2020, Camelia completed their MSc thesis project at the National Hellenic Research Foundation in the Laboratory of Signal Mediated Gene Expression, Institute of Chemical Biology. Camelia started in October 2020 and finished in February 2022.
During their MSc studies in 2020, Camelia also gained experience through rotations. Camelia completed a rotation at BSRC Alexander Fleming in June to July 2020, working in Dr. V. Aidinis' Research Group at the Institute for Bioinnovation. Camelia also completed a rotation at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, specifically in the Molecular Carcinogenesis Group at the Histology-Embryology Laboratory, Athens Medical School, under the supervision of Prof. Thanos Kotsinas. This rotation took place from February to March 2020, and Camelia utilized laboratory techniques such as immunohistochemistry, cell culture, and western blotting.
In 2019, Camelia gained laboratory experience as a Laboratory Intern at Bioiatriki Healthcare Group from May to August.
Camelia's work experience also extends beyond scientific roles. From March 2017 to April 2019, they worked as a STEM Educator & Project Coordinator at SciCo. Camelia also held the position of Science Communication Ambassador at SciCo from October 2016 to April 2019. Additionally, they worked as a Science Writer for the newspaper Fileleftheros from November 2017 to March 2018, where they wrote articles on biochemistry and chemistry topics for the general public.

Camelia completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in International Molecular Biomedicine from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, starting in 2019 and finishing in 2022.
Prior to their Master's degree, Camelia earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry from the same university. Camelia attended from 2014 to 2019.
In 2018, they participated in the 53rd Summer School and the 6th Hellenic Forum for Science, Technology, and Innovation at the National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos."
Camelia also obtained certificates of attendance in the Society's afternoon courses on In Vitro Diagnostics from THE GREEK SOCIETY OF CLINICAL CHEMISTRY - CLINICAL BIOCHEMISTRY in 2018-2019.
Camelia'shigh school education was completed at the 2nd Model Experimental High School of Athens from 2011 to 2014, where they focused on subjects of General Education and Science Studies.
Camelia has obtained various additional certifications throughout their education. Some of these certifications include attendance certificates from conferences, such as the Athens Conference on Advances in Chemistry and the Conference "Liquid Biopsy: Recent Developments, Opportunities, and Prospects in Modern Oncology." Camelia has also obtained certifications in computer literacy, human resources fundamentals, project management fundamentals, public relations management, teamwork fundamentals, and the neuroscience of learning. Additionally, they hold a certificate for the Diplôme d'études en langue française DELF B2 from the Centre international d'études pédagogiques (CIEP) and a Certificate of Proficiency in English from the University of Michigan.
