Helen Williams

Interim Head Of Finance at Intelligent Energy

Helen Williams has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Helen started their career at Price Waterhouse Coopers as an Assistant Manager from 1985 to 1991. After that, they worked as a Group Accountant at European Leisure plc for two years. From 1993 to 2006, Helen worked as a Consultant for a Financial Consultancy, gaining valuable experience in the field. Helen then joined Empower Training Services as a Finance and Services Manager from 2006 to 2008.

In 2008, Helen began their tenure at E.ON UK, where they held various roles. Initially, they served as a Finance Manager, responsible for the Financial Reporting and Forecasting processes for Customer Operations business. Helen then transitioned into the role of Finance Manager - Customer Operations, implementing the use of SAP Accounting system, Essbase, and Oracle Business Intelligence. Helen managed a team of 5,000 staff and incorporated KPI reporting into the reporting function.

Following their time at E.ON UK, Helen joined E.ON as a Finance Manager - Planning and Reporting, where they oversaw Financial Reporting and Planning for OPEX spend across a significant budget. Helen also took on the role of Senior Finance Business Partner, supporting change spend projects within B2B.

In 2019, Helen joined Intelligent Energy as a Finance Business Partner, and later became the Interim Finance Manager, contributing to the company's financial operations. Helen also served as a Part-time Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University from 2022 onwards.

Most recently, Helen took on the role of Interim Head of Finance at Intelligent Energy in 2022. With their broad background and expertise in finance and business partnering, Helen brings valuable skills to any organization they work with.

Helen Williams attended Sheffield High School for Girls from 1975 to 1980. Helen then went on to study at the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School from 1982 to 1985, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with Honors in Accounting and Financial Analysis.
