Tom Bird

Tom Bird has extensive work experience in project management and leadership roles. Tom currently serves as a Deployment Project Manager at Intelligent Growth Solutions (IGS), starting in August 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Raytheon UK as a Programme Manager from November 2018 to August 2022. Before that, they were a Project Manager at redT energy from June 2017 to October 2018, and at Babcock International Group from November 2015 to June 2017. Tom's career began in the British Army, where they held various positions including Squadron Second in Command, Officer, Tp Comd, Troop Commander, and Officer. Throughout their military career, they managed large groups of soldiers, oversaw overseas deployments, conducted construction projects, and provided career development support. Tom also served as an advisor to the Afghanistan National Army. Tom's work experience demonstrates their expertise in project management, leadership, and managing diverse teams in challenging environments.

Tom Bird completed their education at the University of Aberdeen from 2003 to 2007, earning a Master of Arts (Hons) degree in Economics. In addition to their degree, they also obtained several certifications, including the CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute in July 2017, the APMP Management Qualification - IPMA Level D from the Association for Project Management in May 2015, and the Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute in April 2015.
