Varun Deshpande

Varun Deshpande has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Varun is currently the Director of Product Management at Interakt, where they lead the development of a platform that enables small and medium businesses to engage with customers and promote their products through WhatsApp. Prior to this, Varun worked as a Senior Program Manager at Haptik, a Conversational AI company, where they successfully implemented virtual assistant solutions for Fortune 500 brands. Varun also served as a Program Manager during their tenure at Haptik. Before joining Haptik, Varun worked as a Principal in the Client Solutions team at Lynk Global. Varun has also worked as a Business Analyst at Travelzoo, where they focused on customer operations in North America and Europe. Varun started their career at Indian Oil Corporation Limited as an Operations and Maintenance Engineer.

Varun Deshpande completed a Master of Engineering Management degree in Business Administration and Management, General at Duke University from 2014 to 2015. Before that, they earned a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from COEP Technological University, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Varun obtained several certifications, including Product Management: Building a Product Strategy from LinkedIn in 2022, Developing Leadership Potential from Dale Carnegie Training India in 2020, Python for Data Science and AI from Coursera in 2019, Building AI Powered Chatbots Without Programming from Coursera Course Certificates in 2019, and Introduction to Project Management Principles and Practices Specialization from Coursera in 2017.
