Carola Weiss

Carola Weiss is the VP of Business Development at InterAx Biotech. Carola has held several positions at companies in the past, including Actelion, where they were the Regional Director for Central Eastern Europe / CIS, Sub Saharan Africa, and Latin America. In this role, they were responsible for business development through geographic expansion by assessing markets and setting-up optimal business models in the regions. Carola also launched products and line extensions, negotiated and concluded partnership agreements, and led a geographically dispersed team with up to 50 medical, marketing, and sales experts.

Before their role as Regional Director, Carola was the Associate Regional Director and Regional Manager CEE & CIS at Actelion. Carola has also been Marketing Manager EEMEA at Actelion. In this role, they were responsible for establishing business plans, directing strategy implementation, and fostering innovative best practices. Carola also ensured market access by obtaining price and reimbursement approvals.

Carola Weiss has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Strathclyde. Carola is also an Executive Foreign Trade Specialist with Advanced Federal Diploma from Höhere Fachschule für Aussenwirtschaft. Additionally, they have certification from VZPM - Association for the Certification of Persons in Management in Certified Project Management Associate IPMA. Carola also has certification from ZHAW School of Management and Law in Startup Board Academy. Furthermore, they have certification from IMD Business School in High Performance Leadership Programme. Carola Weiss reports to Aurélien Rizk, CEO. They work with Jens Kurth - Head of Drug Development, Mirjam Zimmermann - Head of Research, and Luca Zenone - CFO & COO.
