Eugene Denton has a strong background in product development and quality control. Eugene started their career at Cardinal Health in 2001 as a Research Associate. Eugene then joined Amylin Pharmaceuticals in 2005 as a Senior Associate, where they conducted laboratory investigations and managed analytical chemistry projects. In 2012, Denton moved to Hologic (formerly Gen-Probe) as a Scientist II, where they served as a Quality Control representative for product development teams and managed technology transfer activities. Currently, Denton is working at Intercept Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Product Development Manager. In this role, they manage external contract manufacturing organizations and is responsible for technology transfer activities to new manufacturing sites and testing laboratories. Denton possesses certifications in Project Management (PMP) and Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) from the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

Eugene Denton obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from UC Santa Barbara, completing their education from 1994 to 1998. In addition to their degree, Eugene Denton has pursued various certifications and additional education throughout their career.

Eugene obtained their first certification, Project Management Professional (PMP), from the Project Management Institute in December 2020. This certification demonstrates their expertise in project management.

Continuing their professional development, Eugene Denton obtained a certification in Biotechnology Project Management from UC San Diego in September 2019. This certification showcases their knowledge and skills in managing projects in the biotechnology sector.

Prior to that, in September 2018, they completed a course on Hands-On Tablet Technology at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. This course likely provided him with practical experience and understanding of tablet technology in the pharmaceutical field.

Eugene Denton also holds a certification in Biostatistics obtained from UC San Diego in September 2011. This certification highlights their proficiency in statistical analysis within the field of biostatistics.
