What's the opportunity? 

We are seeking a skilled and creative Design Engineer to implement visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive interfaces. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise in front-end development and a strong foundation in UI/UX design principles. You will work closely with product managers, UX designers, and developers to bring our design visions to life, ensuring they align with business goals and provide an outstanding user experience.

What will I be doing? 

  • Develop, and implement high-quality, responsive user interfaces using front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Collaborate with UX designers to refine wireframes and prototypes into polished, pixel-perfect interfaces that reflect brand and usability standards.
  • Translate design mockups into functional and interactive interfaces, ensuring a seamless user experience across devices.
  • Participate in design reviews and user research sessions to continuously improve UI design based on feedback and data insights.
  • Ensure consistent design standards by maintaining style guides, component libraries, and design documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UI design trends, techniques, and tools to drive innovation and elevate the user experience.
  • Conduct user interface testing and debugging, optimizing for performance, speed, and accessibility.

What skills do I need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience demonstrated with a portfolio).
  • 5+ years of experience in design engineering, front-end development, or a similar role.
  • Expert in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and experience with frameworks like React, Framer Motion, Tailwind and Next.js
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and experience with design tools such as Figma.
  • Knowledge of responsive design and best practices for cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Solid understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and the ability to create inclusive interfaces.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to balance technical and design challenges to create user-friendly solutions.
