Siyasanga Sauka

Siyasanga Sauka currently serves as the Head of Adaptation Planning and previously held the positions of Senior Technical Manager and Climate Action Plan Advisor for the City of Tshwane at C40 Cities since July 2020. Siyasanga's expertise extends to serving as an IPCC Expert Reviewer for the AR6 since November 2019. Prior experience includes a research role at the South African Institute of International Affairs, consultancy positions at Pegasys and ERM, a climate change and sustainability consultancy role at Ernst & Young, and an environmental officer position in the Department of Environmental Affairs. Siyasanga holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Geography from the University of the Witwatersrand, along with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental & Geographical Science from the University of Cape Town, a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Environmental Management from the University of South Africa, and a Grade 12 certificate from Kingsridge High School for Girls.
