David Seok

David Seok, CLD, IALD, is an accomplished lighting design professional currently serving as Studio Leader and Senior Lighting Designer at The Lighting Practice since March 2014. With expertise in project management, David oversees the development and execution of design plans while ensuring adherence to budget and schedule. In addition to this role, David is the Co Executive Director and Founding Member of the Asian Lighting Community, aiming to support the growth of Asians in the architectural lighting industry. As the NY Chapter President and Treasurer for the International Association of Lighting Designers, David contributes to the lighting design community. David has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Drexel University, educating students in commercial lighting design. Earlier experience includes a Design Coordinator position at Lighting Design Collaborative, where David coordinated multi-million dollar corporate office projects and ensured code compliance through extensive surveys and studies. David holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Drexel University and graduated from Stuyvesant High School.
