Jeffrey Smith has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Jeffrey started their career as a Quality Engineer at Collins & Aikman, where they implemented the QS-9000 system and procedures. Jeffrey then joined Pine River Plastics as a Corporate Quality Engineer, responsible for PPAP, control plan development, and root cause analysis. At Collins & Aikman, they returned as a Program Engineer, handling engineering and launch activities in the Soft Trim division.

Jeffrey later joined Magna International and took on various roles, including Design Release Engineer for SI General Motors, Program Manager for several programs, Plant Manager reporting to the General Manager, and finally Engineering Manager, where they managed the engineering staff and focused on engineering change management and VA/VE.

After that, they worked at Grupo Antolin as an Engineering Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations, launch activities, continuous improvement, and lean projects at two separate facilities. Jeffrey then became the Plant Manager, responsible for managing launches within budget and meeting MRD's.

Following their time at Grupo Antolin, Jeffrey served as the Plant Manager at Royal Building Products, responsible for the management of the plant.

Currently, Jeffrey holds the position of Senior Director of Operations at IAC Group. Jeffrey'sresponsibilities include overseeing the core headliner manufacturing facility in Port Huron and two JIT assembly OHS facilities in Warren and Windsor. Jeffrey has complete P&L and management responsibility over all facilities.

Throughout their career, Jeffrey has demonstrated expertise in operations management, engineering, quality control, and program management.

Jeffrey Smith received a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from Acuity Institute in 2014. Prior to that, they studied CAD/CADD Drafting and/or Design Technology/Technician at Baker College of Flint from 1991 to 1995, without receiving a degree. Jeffrey also obtained a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Acuity Institute in 2014.
