Ahmed Essam is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences at Cairo University, with a focus on Euro-Mediterranean studies. Currently serving as an E-Commerce Tax Auditor at the Egyptian Tax Authority since July 2022, Ahmed Essam investigates e-commerce transactions and collaborates internationally on tax administration initiatives. Prior experience includes roles as a Tax News Correspondent for IBFD, a Researcher in the International Tax Department specializing in transfer pricing, and tax officer responsibilities for the Ministry of Finance. Ahmed Essam holds multiple degrees, including a Master's in International/Global Studies from Korea University and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Benha University. Educational pursuits also include a summer course on tax planning at Julius Maximilians University and an MBA from Paris ESLSCA Business School.
