Dure Ahmed

Dure Ahmed is an experienced educator and content creator currently serving as an Adult Education Instructor at the International Rescue Committee since January 2024. Previously, Dure held internships and roles at the same organization, including a Teacher Assistant position focused on implementing monitoring and evaluation tools for language and social emotional skills teaching in the Refugee Youth Summer Academy. Dure possesses a strong academic background, holding a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Anthropology from Mount Holyoke College. Dure has taught Freshman Composition and Creative Writing courses at the University of Arizona and has served as a writing mentor and resident advisor at Mount Holyoke College, along with experience in content writing and English tutoring in diverse educational contexts.
