Stephen Steim

Stephen Steim is an accomplished leader in nonprofit management and fundraising, currently serving as the Director of Donor Strategy at the International Rescue Committee since February 2024. Previously, Stephen was the Executive Director of the New Media Advocacy Project from September 2014 to February 2024, where a strategic shift was implemented towards international capacity building and impactful storytelling. Stephen has extensive experience in development roles at Human Rights Watch, including positions as Director and Associate Director of Leadership Gifts, where significant contributions were made to global fundraising efforts. Earlier career highlights include serving as an Account Executive at Jasculca/Terman and Associates, providing strategic communication services to diverse organizations. Stephen holds a Master of Science in Digital Media from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and a degree in Liberal Arts from St. John's College.
