Kakhramon Djumaboev is an experienced researcher at the International Water Management Institute, serving in the Regional Representative Office for Central Asia in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, since May 2005. With almost 20 years in natural resource management research, Djumaboev previously held the position of Head of the Hydrology and Hydrogeology Laboratory at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers from September 2000 to 2002. Djumaboev possesses a diverse educational background, including a Bachelor's Degree in Hydraulic Structures from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (1996-2000), a Master's of Technology in Irrigation Water Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (2002-2004), and a Doctor of Philosophy expected in 2021 from Humboldt University in Berlin, specializing in Resource Economics Division.
