Menghun Kaing

Menghun Kaing is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in international development and program management. Currently serving as a McCain Global Leader at the McCain Institute since June 2025, Menghun is also a Senior Program Officer at Internews, where responsibilities include overseeing programs across Asia Pacific and managing country portfolios in Cambodia and Thailand. Previous roles include participation in the Pacific Forum Young Leaders Program and the Aspen Ideas Fellowship. Menghun's work at The Asia Foundation involved promoting evidence-based policymaking in Cambodia and supporting early-stage technology companies. Early in the career, Menghun worked as a journalist for The Cambodia Daily, focusing on critical social issues. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in International Development and Policy from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Royal University of Phnom Penh.
