Jonathan Arthur

Jonathan Arthur has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jonathan worked at Intersect from 2017, where they held multiple positions including Head of Membership Services, Acting Chief Operating Officer, and National Services Manager. In 2022, they joined BETTER as a Company Secretary. Jonathan also served as the CEO and Founder of Kyyron Pty Ltd for a brief period in 2017. Prior to that, they worked at the Children's Medical Research Institute as Chief Technology Officer and General Manager of CellBank Australia. Jonathan also had various roles at the University of Sydney, including Associate Professor of Bioinformatics, CEO/Director of Sydney Bioinformatics, and Senior Lecturer in Bioinformatics. Jonathan has also served as a Non-Executive Director at SHINE for Kids and worked at Proteome Systems Ltd as a Technical Learning and Development Manager and Senior Bioinformatics Scientist. Jonathan started their career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Fox Chase Cancer Center in 1999.

Jonathan Arthur has a diverse education history. Jonathan initially pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Sydney, which they completed between 1990 and 1993. Subsequently, they furthered their studies at the same institution and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry from 1995 to 1998.

In 2005, Jonathan attended Macquarie Community College to acquire a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training, focusing on Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching. Following this, they enrolled in the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2008 and successfully completed the Company Directors Course Diploma, specializing in Corporate governance.

More recently, in 2021, they engaged in further education at Southern Cross University, where they completed a Graduate Certificate program in Business Law.

In addition to their formal education, Jonathan has also obtained various certifications, including "Data-Driven Network Security Essentials," "Securing the IoT: Privacy," "Learning Data Governance," and "Learning Information Governance" from LinkedIn in 2020. Jonathan also obtained certifications in "Advanced Communication" from the Australian Institute of Management and "Introduction to Neo4j" from Neo4j in the same year.
