At interworks.cloud we are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to help us boost the security of our B2B cloud commerce platform using mainly defensive approaches but also contributing to offensive activities. The primary focus of this role is to secure our platform on the infrastructure level (we are a Microsoft partner). Soon enough, the career path of this role will expand on application security as well, resulting in a holistic approach to our security needs. You will be responsible for identifying security gaps and designing solutions with the ultimate goal of enhancing our security posture, as well as educating other employees and raising security awareness.

You will join a small cyber security team that loves researching and detecting vulnerabilities and has full ownership of interworks.cloud security needs.

Security is a crucial part of our platform, and we constantly seek to detect, enhance, and resolve as many security gaps as possible.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to actively contribute to architectural, design, and deployment considerations.
• Configure and deploy a suite of security tools tailored to our infrastructure needs, including but not limited to firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, and WAF.
• Perform Cyber Threat Intelligence activities and decide on actions to enhance our security posture.
• Develop scripts (in any language you’d like) to implement security checks and automate repeatable tasks.
• Report and thoroughly document findings and proposed recommendations.
• Coordinate with our external SOC provider, who is responsible for monitoring our systems to lead security incident response and manage necessary actions.
• Review and improve existing corporate security policies, processes, and procedures.
• Participate in implementing compliance standards.
• Help educate employees on information security and security best practices through training and awareness.

Our ideal candidate

• Working experience (3+ years) in information security roles, focusing on defensive cyber security responsibilities.

• Hands-on experience in security tools and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, WAF, and vulnerability scanners.

• Good knowledge of networking basics (TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing, DNS, VPN/ZTNA, Load Balancing, etc.).

• Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.

• Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Ability to assess and prioritize security risks and requirements.

• Good knowledge of Incident Response processes and methodologies.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.

• You are fluent in the Greek and English language, both spoken and written.

Bonus points 😉

• Working experience performing AD and Azure AD penetration testing, identifying vulnerabilities, and proposing & executing action plans.

• Web application security testing skills (Burp Suite Pro is our bread and butter).

• Security certifications (OSCP, OSEP, CRTP, CRTE, CRTO).

• Active engagement with the hacker community.

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field
