Christian Knappe

Christian Knappe has extensive experience in finance and leadership roles. Christian is currently working at IO Biotech as the Senior Finance Director for Europe. In this position, they are responsible for various financial aspects of the company, including reporting, analysis, internal controls, cash management, payroll, and taxes. Christian also supervises the outsourcing of financial services to external partners.

Prior to their current role, Christian worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Pierre Fabre Group in the Nordics, where they played a key role in strategic decision-making, new launches, and development of the Nordic entities.

Before that, Christian was the Senior Finance Director and Head of Global Finance, Tax & Treasury at AJ Vaccines, where they were responsible for maintaining high group standards in reporting, driving reporting processes, and supporting monthly group reporting of financial results and analysis.

Christian also gained valuable experience at GSK, where they held various director-level roles in finance, planning, tax, and statutory reporting for the Nordics and EMEA regions.

Earlier in their career, Christian worked at GE Healthcare A/S and GE International Inc. Branch Denmark in leadership and financial roles, including branch management, statutory reporting, tax calculation, and tax reporting.

Christian's career also includes executive roles at AcceptFinans ApS and GE Commercial Distribution Finance ApS. Christian started their career at KPMG as a Manager.

Christian Knappe completed the First Line Leader course at GlaxoSmithKline in 2015. From 2007 to 2014, they attended Erhvervsstyrelsen and obtained certification as a State Authorised Public Accountant. Christian earned a Cand. merc. aud. degree from Copenhagen Business School from 2003 to 2007, and an HD degree from the same institution from 1999 to 2003. Christian also completed a Management Essentials program at GlaxoSmithKline.
